The Hatsune Miku x Osamu Tezuka Exhibit Now Open!

On July 1st, 2017, the Hatsune Miku x Osamu Tezuka Exhibit ~ Worlds Connected by Isao Tomita opened to the public at the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum!

The event is a celebration of Miku’s upcoming 10th anniversary as well as what would have been the 85th birthday of the late Isao Tomita. Tomita is remembered as one of the pioneers of electronic and synthesized music, and for composing music for many of Osamu Tezuka’s early works like Jungle Taitei (a.k.a. Kimba the White Lion), Ribbon no Kishi (a.k.a. Princess Knight), and Black Jack: Futari no Kuroi Isha. In the VOCALOID world, Tomita is also well known for composing the music for the Hatsune Miku × Isao Tomita – Symphony IHATOV. Given the history between Tomita, Tezuka, and Miku, it’s very fitting that an event would be held to celebrate all three of them!
