The Hatsune Miku Summer Festival in Shibuya Marui “Natsumatsuri” Ver. Commences!

Starting today, the second leg of the Hatsune Miku Summer Festival in Shibuya Marui, titled Natsumatsuri Ver., will be taking place at the Marui Department Store in Shibuya until Monday, July 24th. The first leg of the event was themed on beach parties, while this leg is themed on Japanese summer festivals, or “natsumatsuri.” So regardless of whether summertime means bikinis or yukatas to you, this event will have your tastes in summertime fun with Hatsune Miku covered!

Event Dates: Friday, July 7th, 2017 ~ Monday, July 24th, 2017
Event Location: 8F Event Space of the Shibuya Marui Department Store, 1-22-6 Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
Store Hours: 11:00 AM ~ 9:00 PM (JST)

The event’s main visual piece was illustrated by かも仮面 (Kamokamen), with additional illustrations provided by 羊野 (Youno), both featuring Miku and the Crypton VOCALOID family wearing traditional summertime yukatas. Various goods and merchandise based off the works of both artists will be available exclusively during the event!

Special Event: Tanabata Fair

Event Dates: Friday, July 7th, 2017 ~ Sunday, July 9th, 2017
Event Location: 8F Event Space of the Shibuya Department Store

During the first three days of the event, a special Tanabata celebration will be taking place at the store site. Shoppers will be able to select any one of four free tanzaku paper slips to write their wish on and tie to an in-store tree branch.

Furthermore, if you purchase at least ¥3,000 JPY (about $30 USD) worth of store goods, you will receive one of three special tanzaku paper slips of your choice, each bearing a special Tanabata event illustration of Orihime Miku and/or Hikoboshi KAITO by 羊野!

Finally, those who come dressed in either yukata or a jinbei and spend at least ¥3,000 JPY worth of store goods can also receive a free card bearing the event illustrations!

 

かも仮面 Autographed Drawing Paper Raffle

かも仮面, the artist behind the event’s main visual, will be autographing colored drawing paper for five lucky winners of this raffle!

How to Become Eligible: Between July 7th and July 24th, customers who purchase at least ¥3,000 worth of goods on a single purchase receipt will receive a ticket for the raffle.

Special Raffle

Finally, any shopper who purchases at least ¥3,000 worth of goods on a single purchase receipt with an EPOS Card, a Sumitomo Mitsui Hatsune Miku VISA card, or a Sumitomo Mitsui Hatsune Miku Mastercard will receive a free raffle ticket for the chance to win any one of the following prizes.

  • Grand Prize: A large cardboard cutout of the Natsumatsuri Ver. event’s main visual piece (6 varieties in total)
  • A-Prize: Summer Festival Staff T-Shirt (1 variety)
  • B-Prize: Event Postcards (set of all 6 varieties plus 1 extra)
  • C-Prize: Event Postcard (random 1 of 6 varieties)
